Yosa ends home ban with victory over current leaders

Yong Sports Academy (Yosa) has ended its two match home ban with a slim victory last weekend over current league leader les Astres of Douala at the Limbe Centenary Stadium in a match counting for the 12th day of play in the MTN elite One championship.

The last time Yosa played at home was against the Douala Athletic club on April 14, in a match counting for the 8th day of play, just before the homologation committee of Fecafoot slammed a two match ban on the Bamenda Municipal Stadium for the unruly behaviour of the fans following the team’s 1-2 defeat against Tonnerre kalara Club under controversial circumstances on March 24.

Since then the team has played two away and to home matches on away pitches. First home match after the ban was against the Njalla Quand Sports Academy in Yaounde which they lost by 1-3 goals. Before that, Yosa had earned a famous 0-2 victory over Renaisance of Ngoumou in Yaounde and later picked a point away in Bagante against Panthere of the Nde. Yesterday’s result means Yosa moves further away from the bottom of the table where they were only one place above relegation.

The team next matches are still away against the Douala Athletic Club, Fovu and sable of Batie before the next home game against Unisport of Bafang day 16 in Bamenda.
