YOSA Disappoints at Home

Several fans and supporters of Yong Sport Academy left the Bamenda Municipal Stadium yesterday very disappointing after the home side failed to pick maximum points against one of the weakest teams in the MTN Elite One championship, Renaisance of Ngoumou. It was a dull match, one that failed to ignite the passion of the supporters of YOSA. The result leaves YOSA closer to the bottom of the log than the top.

In the other matches of the 5th day, Cotonsport of Garoua clinched a 2:0 victory over local rivals Scorpion of Mbe to move on top of the log provisionally. The day was one of change of fortune for Cameroon’s most successful club Canon Yaoundé as they recorded the first victory of the campaign with a 2:1 victory over Tiko United in Yaoundé. The result catapults them from the bottom to the 10th position on the standing while tiko sinks to the bottom of the log. The last match of the day saw Aigle of the Menoua andNjallaQuanSportAcademy separated on a virgin tie.

The rest of the matches would come up on Wednesday 22 February  with new Stars of Douala entertaining Unisport of Bafang back from Ivory Coast were they recorded a 1:0 victory over Sewe Sport in the African Confederation Cup. Sable of Batie would host Union of Douala also fresh from the same competition with a similar victory at home over FC kallon of Sierra Leon. The last match of the 5th day would be played on the 29th of February  between Astres and Panthere in Douala.

Union, Unisport (10 paints each) and Panthere (9 points) could move on top of the table if they record victory in their respective matches.
