Gossips and rumours have been making the rounds of late about the mismanagement of funds meant for the development of Kedjom Keku by some elites of the village development association (KECUDA) Surprisingly shocking was the revelation made by HRN Fon Benjamin Vutsiboung of kejom keku to his subject during a meet the people tour he embarked on recently

While addressing the population of Tokoh quarter, the Fon, said the reason the kejom people are reluctant in paying development dues was because of mismanagement in that body. The Fon cited a situation where 700,000 FRS was paid into KECUDA’s national account by a branch and by the end of year, the records showed only 300000 FRS was received.

Reacting to the Fon’s revelation the National Communication Sectary of KECUDA, Akumbom Elvis McCarthy described the situation as misleading. McCarty said there was an error somewhere between the branches that paid in some money into KECUDA’s account, but did not notify national bureau and did not present their bank receipt as well. But the issue was since been rectified and he doubts those who are spreading such ill information.

Mcarty said those who lost election into KECUDA are the ones attempting to destroy the association. He insisted that there is no case of mismanagement at the level of the national branch.

He went ahead to say the Fon was misled and wrongly informed, he equally said, he was grateful that all the KECUDA branches were going to be audited so as to trace out any case of misappropriation. McCarty questioned how could it happened a KECUDA branch with on 100 members last year could sent up to 2,000,000 frs as development dues and the same branch this year with 300 members sent 800,000 frs to KECUDA? He said there were enemies who want to destroy KECUDA which to him can never work because KECUDA a is an independent village association.

Meanwhile the Kejom Keku Cultural and Development Association-KECUDA has paid a courtesy visit to the Tubah administration. The delegation was lead by its national president, Mr, Neku Naphtali. They visited the DO of Tubah, Gagah Alim, mayor of Tubah, Tanjong Martin, the commissioner of public security Tubah Mr Nchotu Jonathan Fuh and the commander of the Gendarmerie Brigade Tubah, in a bid to thank them and create familiarity with them since been elected into office

In respond the various administrative heads promised a cordial relationship with the village of Kejom Keku. A visibly happy commissioner of public security told them to keep on supporting the anti gang (vigilante group) of the village for they are working in close relation with the public security to eliminate all forms of criminality and ills in KejomK Keku.
