Graduating pupils of grade 6, St Bridgit Nursery and Primary School up Station Bamenda have been called upon to keep the flag and standards of the school high wherever they go. Mrs. Nchotu Grace, head teacher of the institution made the call on Tuesday May 28, 2013 at the school campus during the end of year party and graduation ceremony for Nursery II and grade 6 pupils.

“We have moulded them academically, morally and spiritually and we find them fit for grade I and Form I” she told the parents of the graduating infants and pupils..

She reminded parents of the continuous need to maintain the moral standards the children have picked in school and to constantly  occupy them while on holidays.

Representing her sister, Fossam Felix brother of the proprietress said “It’s a delight to showcase the talents and skills of the pupils and teachers. Their hard work continues to enable and support St. Bridgit develop into one of the top private primary institution in Bamenda”

He also congratulated the grade 6 pupils of the 2012 batch for scoring 100% and providing the best national result in the Common Entrance Examination.

The best infant in the nursery and primary were each awarded scholarship which included complete tuition fee for the next class. Abongwa Kercy of grade 6 received the award for the best primary pupil and was issued a cheque of 80,000 frs. Teachers and staff of the school were also recognized for their hard work with various encouragement prizes.

The event was marked by music interpretation, ballet dance, songs and rhymes and fashion parade by kids of all classes of the school.

A total of 35 and 49 kids were passing out from the primary and nursery sections respectively.

In attendance was the governor and wife of the Northwest, the wife of the government delegate to the Bamenda City Council, the Fon of Bamendakwe, and the manager of CRTV Northwest amongst others.
