The Mercy Ship will anchor in Douala as from August 2017

An American NGO MERCY SHIPS would soon be anchored in the port of Douala to perform some surgical operations for free to thausands of Cameroonians. Mercy Ships has been going round continents to bring hope to the suffering masses and the poor with complicated diseases that require specialist surgical interventions; whose operations cost are expensive and not accessible to most Cameroonians. All those to be operated upon would be treated  free of charge.

The Humanitarian NGO MERCY SHIPS shall be anchored in Douala from August 2017 to June 2018 to carry out selected surgical operations.? About 5000 operations are expected to be carried out during the exercise and surgeries shall be on the following health conditions:
Plastic and reconstructive surgery
Orthopaedic surgery
General surgery
Ophthalmic surgery
Dental care

The screening and registration of Patients who could eventually benefit from free consultation and treatment mentioned above is already going on in the whole Region. A registration team shall register patients at the district health services as per the following calendar:
Tubah: 9/04/2017, Santa on the 20/04/2017, Bafut on the 21/04/2017, Mbengwi on the 22/04/2017, Bali on the 24/04/2017, Nwa on the 25/04/2017, Ndu on the 26/04/2017, Ako on the 27/04/2017, Nkambe on the 28th & 29th April 2017, kumbo East and West on the 2nd & 3rd May 2017, Oku on the 4/05/2017, Ndop on the 5/05/2017, Wum on the 06/05/2017, Benakuma on the 8/05/2017, Batibo on the 9/05/2017, Njikwa on the 10/05/2017, Fundong on the 11/05/2017, Bamenda on the 12th, 13th and 15th of May 2017. Catch-ups will be organized on 16th and 17th of May only in Bamenda district health service.
