Team PWD against Bamboutos

14th placed PWD Social club of Bamenda will entertain 12 placed Union Sportive of Douala in a mouthwatering day 11 game of the Cameroon league one championship in Bamenda this Wednesday December 04, 2019.

Just a single point seperates Union and PWD on the league’s table, with PWD just fresh from a zero all home draw with Bamboutos FC of Mbouda, while Union was battered three nil by UMS of Loum.

A win for either sides might see them breaking into the top half of the league’s table, while a defeat might see them in the red Zone.

last season, PWD and Union met thrice, with each side moving away with one win and one draw. Union defeated PWD 2#0 in Limbe during the first round, but PWD recorded a similar 2#0 win in the return leg game in Bamenda, thanks to goals from Ahudu Lukong and Mundi Kagawa’s stunning free kick.

The two sides met again during the last day of the playoffs in Limbe, with Samuel Nlend putting Union ahead earlier in the game, before Malachi’s penalty put the game on a parity.
Apart from that, PWD and Union met back in the 2005 season, with Union winning 3#1 at the Reunification stadium, while the return leg at the Mankon Municipal stadium ended 1#1.

So in total, Union has won two of their last five confrontations with the Abakwa boys, while two other games have ended in a draw, and PWD winning just once.

Goalkeeper Rodrigue Zame of PWD, is on a run of two consecutive clean sheets, and is looking more assured within the sticks, as days go by.

For Union, Innocent Assana has proven not to be innocent this season. He is undoubtedly Union’s poisonous element up front.

Goalkeeper Serge Diguel and Midfielder Ningahar Otodjibaye will be returning to Bamenda for the first time, since they left northwest outfit, YOSA. They will be playing in a field they know so well. Just like former national polytechnic defender Malong Fondoh Che, who has been rock solid for union this season.

Union sportive of Douala arrived Bamenda on Tuesday morning and will have enough rest before the game.

PWD will be without Midfielder, Ade Mienolf who is suffering from malaria, but will likely welcome back Mbah Louiz, who missed the game against Bamboutos, through injury.

Union’s coach, Walinjom Daniel is coming back to face his former employers. He was previously deputy coach of PWD.

Nseng Elanga Luc will lead the officiating team as center referee, with assistance from Obama Obama Adalbert and MBIDA Awono.
