PCC Youths Drilled on Peace Building and Conflict Transformation

A four day training workshop organised for PCC Youths on peace building and conflict transformation took place at the Emmanuel Sisterhood Bafut from June 18- 21 2012.

The workshop brought together different youth leaders from the PCC and was organized by the National Youth Secretary, the Rev Mekumba Francis.

It was aimed at training the youths on how to handle conflicts in their various communities and encourage living in peace with one another,

It was attended by Christian Youth Fellowship members from Batibo and Meta Presbyteries and thanks to an ecumenical co- worker attached to the youth department of the PCC,  they were drilled on, peace project, peace and peace building, conflict, violence and communication.

It was facilitated by the Rev Mekumba Francis, Ms Katharina Schilling, ecumenical peace worker with the Service for Peace (CPS) from Germany and Njume Julius CYF Presbytery president for Fiango Central.

The participants after the workshop were satisfied with the content of the workshop and determined to share knowledge gained to their sisters and brothers back home for all to live in peace and learn how to deal with any conflict that may arise.
