A military truck carrying soldiers for a shooting expedition at Sabga on the outskirts of Bamenda, overturned at 7:45 am this Wednesday morning, killing one soldier and leaving 35 others injured.


Five of the wounded soldiers have been moved to Douala for intensive health care.

30 of the injured soldiers of the Bafut airbase are receiving treatment at the Bamenda Regional Hospital. Bruises and fractures are common among them.

The medic at the Bamenda Military Hospital, Lt Colonel Abba Joseph Pierre, has described the state of the injured soldiers as stable. The cause of the accident is not certain
