NW: 29,000 Pupils sit in for common Entrance into Secondary School

Over 29,000 pupils under the English and French sub systems of education sat for the Government Common Entrance Examination (GCEE) into form one of secondary schools across the North West Region Tuesday.

Statistics from the regional delegation of Basic Education Bamenda indicates that 23,850 candidates registered for the General GCEE in 266 centres, 5333 candidates in the Technical GCEEE in 232 centres, and 583 candidates registered for the concour d’entree en Seism in some 17 centres.

The candidate in the English subsystem wrote the exams in two subjects, mathematics and English language.

The certificate examination, First School Living Certificate comes up in June.
