Kah Walla Defies  Songa Pierre, Goes Ahead with Stand Up For Cameroon

Edith Kah Walla succeeded to hold private meetings despite the ban

The leader of the Cameroon Peoples Party- CPP, Edith Kah Walla has successfully met with some common law lawyers, administrative officials and inhabitants of Bamenda in her “Stand Up Visit” to the Northwest region.  Upon arrival o Bamenda by a Camair-co flight, she was informed of the a decision of the SDO for Mezam, Songa Pierre Rene prohibiting all forms of public meeting from September 22nd to October 3rd, 2017.

Stand UP for Cameroon was in the region to express solidarity to brothers and sisters of the Northwest, improve media men and women’s knowledge on the information and reality on the ground in the northwest region, discuss ideas and proposals that could help solve the crisis and to advocate for an effective national dialogue between Cameroonians .

 Edith Kah Walla was accompanied to Bamenda by a delegation of Stand Up For Cameroon from the West, Littoral and Center regions.  The Bamenda rendezvous was dubbed “Bamenda Solidarity and Exchange Visit”

Later on in a statement released on Kah Walla’s Facebook page she “Things were going very well when at 7:30 p.m. we were stopped in our tracks!! We were informed by administrative officials that we would not be able to hold the Stand Up For Cameroon meeting tomorrow morning.  The Senior Divisional Officer of Mezam had just taken a divisional order to prohibit all public meetings and events in Mezam from September 22nd to October 3rd 2017”

The statement also questioned the timing of the order “Interesting timing!!!!  How and why this decision was taken today, hours before our meeting set for 8:30 a.m” She goes forward to announced that her mission to Bamenda would continue in the form of private visits and consultations.
