Fon Moolo II of Nkar, has been described as an epitome of peace and development in his area. This revelation was made by Fon Sintiel II of Oku, during the annual death commemoration of the late fon Tume Ntani of Nkar from the 1st to the 08th of February 2015

He described the relationship between his people and the people of Nkar as brotherly which runs back for many generations. This is further evident of the fact that he was present during the passing of the late Fon Tume Tani and has always stood by the side of his successor.

In response, Fon Moolo II called on every son and daughter of the land to maintain peace at all cost. saying “If the fon of fons the head of state can maintain peace then I am obliged to keep peace” Stating that the good neighbourly relationship recorded by the Nkar community with other fondoms like the Oku fondom is because of a long history of understanding and intermarriages. The Fon of Oku and himself he said are brothers of the same value of peace, adding that brotherly coexistence should not end at the level of the fondom but should extend to his beloved country as a whole.

He further called on all to report to security officials any suspected individual.

On development said there can be no development if there is no peace Adding that it is the responsibility of every son and daughter of the land to develop their home of origin. He also reminded the womenfolk to harness their energy to constitute a development front.

Yaa Doris newly crowned title holder praised the fon for his astute leadership and congratulated the Nkar and Nso fondoms for preserving their tradition unlike in other parts of the country where tradition has been trampled upon by modernism.
