ELECAM: A Presidential decree appoints Board Chair and deputy

Enow Abraham Egbe New ELECAM Boss

Former Governor and Civil Administrator, Enow Abrams Egbe has been appointed Board Chairman of the Electoral Council of Elections Cameroon.

He takes over from Samuel Fonkam Azu'u, pioneer chair of the board. The Presidential decree signed 25th April also appoints a vice chairman, Amugu née Abena Ekobena Appolline Marie.

Still on Elecam, the President appointed four new members into the electoral board and renewed the mandate of others.

The new comers include:

Amugu née Abena Ekobena Appolline Marie
Belle Amougou Dieudonne
Mbu Peter

Those whose mandate was renewed for a period of four years:

Bomba Nkolo Cécile
Njeuma Née Effange Dorothy Limumga
Sadou Daoudou née Lady Pawa
Amadou Ali
Efandene Bekono Pierre Roger
Ejake Mbonda Thomas 
Haman Dahirou
Mana Nschwangele Jules
Mbonda Elie.

The shakeup at the Electoral board of the elections organising body comes four months since the electoral registers were reopened for the year 2017. The new board members will be sworn-in before they effectively take up function.
