Defence Minister, Fru Ndi Confer

The Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo’o, held talks with the SDF National Chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi, at Ntarinkon, Bamenda, October 30.

After installing the Commander of the 202 Air Force Base, Colonel Bakary Boukar, and the Commander of the 6th Military Sector Lieutenant-Colonel Oussoumanou Bakiri, at a solemn ceremony at the commercial Avenue grandstand, Mebe Ngo’o spent the later part of  his afternoon at Fru Ndi’s residence with all the Generals and Senior Officers that accompanied  him. Mebe Ngo’o was received by Fru Ndi, accompanied by the Vice President of the National Assembly, Barrister Joseph Mbah Ndam, and the SDF Parliamentary Group Leader, Dr. Joseph Banandzem.

When the two men settled down for a tete-a-tete, everyone else was told to keep their distance. This lasted for about 20 minutes, with nothing filtering out from their discussions. However, going by his recent utterances, Fru Ndi could be thought to have re-echoed the “unfair practice of “politicizing the army” in favour of the CPDM during elections as well as the upsurge in crime wave and the lack of means to fight criminality in most big towns of  the country.
