CPDM launches Reorganization In Mezam III

The launching of activities to reorganize the basic organs of the CPDM party in Mezam III-Bali took place onSaturday October 26, 2015 at the Happy Land Hall, presided at by Moh Sylvester, Central Committee delegate

He was particularly pleased with the turnout of section and subsection executives and called on the stakeholders to make sure the elections in the days ahead “should be objective, transparent and peaceful”  He also urged militants vying for elective positions to master the text on the  reorganization process of the basic organs of the party.

The deputy central committee delegate, Vincent P.K Titanji read out the circulars from the chairman of the party as well as that from the secretary General of the Central Committee as to how the reorganization will be carry out.

Moh Sylvester advised all interested candidates to come up with a consensus list so that no one gets hurt and to enable the party emerge united and stronger at the end of the process. “But if all attempts to form a single list fails, then democratic election will take place” he concuded.

“We want a person generally accepted by the people who can make this party stronger and who can win future elections for the party” he added.

The election calendar in Mezam III was outlined as follows;

30/10, dateline for submission of list for those vying for elective positions

02/11, publication of electoral list and start of campaigns

03/11, at mid night, end of campaigns

04/11, elections of subsection executives

05/11, elections of section executives

Moh Sylvester told those who aspire to be elected that this exercise is not a money affair but elected officials should be ready to sacrifice for the enhancement of the party in Bali.  The minimum voting age was set at  18 and militants must be up to date with their party dues.

The Mezam III section of the CPDM is made up of 25 subsections and the current section executives has been in office for 12 years under the stewardship of Ajong Ngoh Sylvanus, who doubles as Mayor of Bali Council. During this period in office, he has seen the party win the 2013 municipal and senatorial elections in Bali.
