Paul Biya will have a new mandate” at Etoudi.

It should be noted that the CPDM flag bearer,Paul Biya is seeking another 7 year term in office after ruling Cameroon for over 35years.

Following social media reports on the launch critics have taken their turns to analyze the campaigns and termed it a meeting and not a campaign. Critics have questioned why the campaign cannot go down to the masses or be done in an open space rather than the confines of the Bamenda Congress Hall. However militants loyal to the CPDM have made outings on social media in comments saying the above criticisms is a sheer demonstration of defeat from pro-independence supporters who had threatened and warned that no campaigns or elections will take place in Southern Cameroon.

Many are waiting to see how campaigns will be done on the ground. CPDM has device the door to door strategy, interpersonal communication; text messages, phone calls, the social media, to avoid confrontations with pro-independence fighters who are targeting campaign teams.
