Outgoing Cameroon coach Jean-Paul Akono has circulated an unofficial squad list for the Indomitable Lions friendly match and World Cup qualifiers in June.

And BBC Sport understands the Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot) has dismissed his selections as it is currently recruiting his replacement.

It also means that the make-up of the squad is likely to change.

While Akono insists he is right to pick the squad, Fecafoot says the correct procedure has not been followed.

The situation is likely to create further bad feeling between interim coach Akono and Fecafoot, who advertised his job without his knowledge and apparently while he was in negotiations to make his position permanent.

And it seems set to render meaningless the squad list issued by Akono for the friendly against Ukraine on 2 June and the World Cup Group I qualifiers against Togo on 9 June and Democratic Republic of Congo on 16 June.

One player who will be hoping that is not the case is Fulham midfielder Enoh Eyong, who has been picked by Akono and would be involved for the first time since last September.

The 27-year-old served a two-match international ban for his part in the Cameroon players' strike over unpaid bonuses and was also sidelined by a knee injury.

Paul Alo'o Efoulou is another player who may make his comeback, while Osasuna defender Raoul Loe and Antalyaspor goalkeeper Sammy Ndjock may be in line for their first inclusion in the squad.

Akono has also called up eight local players in his list.
