CAMASEJ N.W Begins New Year with The Right Step

CAMASEJ members attending first meeting for 2019

Members of the North West Chapter of the Cameroon Association of English Speaking Journalists, CAMASEJ have met and brainstormed on how to better the practice of journalism within the region. This was last Friday January 9, 2019 at the residence of the the Chapter President, Ambe Macmillian Awa during which he reported on the recent strides made by the association in improving on its output.

From the deliberations, members resolved to intensify the press review item that always constitutes part of every monthly meeting agenda by ensuring those assigned the responsibility take it serious for it serves as an auto evaluation of the strengths and weaknesses of media houses and journalists within the region.

CAMASEJ N.W will in the days ahead be organising a press lunch with executive members of other journalism associations within the region geared at regularising the practice and seeking ways of reducing malpractices that occur mostly on the field during coverage. The January meeting ended with more new members enrolling themselves into the association.
