A total of 88 rank and file police officers from across the North West region have received epaulets promoting them to the different grades of the national police force, at a ceremony that took place this afternoon at the Bamenda ceremonial Grand – Commercial Avenue.   

In total 41  2nd grade assistant superintendents of police were promoted to  the rank of assistant superintendents ,  one 1st grade assistant superintendant to 2nd grade Assistant Superintendent of police,  27 2nd grade Police Inspectors to Senior Police inspectors, 2 1st grade police inspectors to 2nd grade police inspectors and 17 police constables to senior police constables.

They were promoted following a presidential decree signed last November 2013.

The epaulet award ceremony was presided over by Adolph Lele L’Afrique, governor of the Northwest region accompanied by senior police superintendent Gusmo Emile, regional delegate for National Security Northwest and the various regional chiefs of services and the military command.
