A Lele L’Afrique installed into Office as new NW Governor

 

He was commissioned into office on Thursday 22 March 2012 in a colourful ceremony that took place at the Bamenda Ceremonial Ground along the Commercial Avenue by Territorial and Decentralisation minister Rene Emmanuel Sadi.  

The new governor was called upon to tailor the development of the region in line with the goals of the new 7 years term of office of the president. Minister Rene Sadi asked the governor Lele L’Afrique to pay attention to developmental projects like the completion of the Governor’s office building, the construction of the Bamenda-Enugu high way, the SDO’s office in Fundong, the Ndop-Kumbo stretch of the Ring Road, the hydro power plant on the Menchum Falls, the thermal power plant in Bamenda and the Bamenda university project for as he put it “these would be some of the measuring rods that would be used to determine your stay in the region” Governor Lele L’Afrique was also called upon to be firm against the rising phenomenon of cyber crime for which Bamenda is today becoming notoriously infamous for, step up the fight against ghost civil servants, intertribal and succession conflicts and farmer-grazier problems.

Speaking before the installation, the Government Delegate to the Bamenda City Council  Ndumu Nji Vincent reminded the incoming governor that the Bamenda man is very hard working, Friendly, welcoming and hospitable but very sensitive to injustice.Lele L'Afrique was installed by MINATD boss Rene Sadi

 

lele L’Afrique Aldophe was born on December 6th  1961 in Dschang West Region of Cameroon to parents from Babajou. He holds a bachelor degree and a post graduate diploma in public Law from the university of Yaounde, is married and father of 4.

Before his appointment as governor of the northwest, he was previously governor of the East region and had earlier worked as SDO for the Faro and Ndeyo in Tinnerre, Mbere in Meigangam Incoming lele L’Afrique Aldophe born 1961 Dschang dec 6th Bac admitted in UNIYAO matrise and 1st degree in public Law Enam posted to Minatd support staff dept of local councils, head of legal unit, DO Akonolinga, SDO Faro and Ndeyo in Tinneere, Vina division in Ngaoundere, and Benoua in Garoua. He had also been D.O in Akonolinga. After he left the school of Administration and Magistracy, Lele L’Afrique served as support staff at the department of Local Councils and head of legal Unit at the ministry of Territorial administration.

He takes over from Abakat Ahamat who moves to the Adamawa in the same capacity. His installation was the first of the 10 programmed in the days ahead.
