JOB DESCRIPTION

 Our dynamic 3-year old company is relocating its office from Douala to Bamenda to position itself for growth and to contribute to the technology sector of the North West. The company has popular business solutions in the technology market (web hosting, web design), advertising solutions (a classifieds ads system and online magazine), marketing and BPO (outsourcing) offerings.

The company is seeking an equally dynamic individual to run operations in Bamenda. In the initial phase, this individual will be working out of a shared office space in Bamenda. The job responsibilities of this individual will be the following:

 Market the products and services of the company to local businesses in Bamenda and the surrounding region (and across Cameroon as a whole – Douala & Yaounde…) – engage local businesses that need the services that we offer to try us

Generate sales for services and products

Position the company as the best option for the various services that we offer in Bamenda and across Cameroon

Create partnerships for the company in Bamenda with similar companies or organizations seeking help with the services we offer

 Aggressively advertise our services and products in the Bamenda area using bill boards, flyers in CyberCafes and other off-line channels

Build relationships with influencial people in the political, economic and social arenas in Bamenda and use those relationships to forster an environment for creating a technology market in the North West

Ideally, this job will be suited for someone who is comfortable to walk through new customers' doors, engage them, and convince them to convert to paying customers. In other words, a significant portion of the work in this job will be outside the office, not behind a desk on a computer.

We are looking for someone who will find the channels and opportunities to make us a recognized brand in Bamenda in the next 12 months! Someone who will take the time to understand our business solutions and will see the opportunities in the market and marry our solutions to those problems. Our goal is to contribute to making Bamenda a technology hub for business in Cameroon.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should ideally have a bachelors degree or an A/L Certificate at the minimum.

Applicants MUST Be BILINGUAL – written and spoken FRENCH and ENGLISH. This is because our opportunities will come from across the country, not just Bamenda.

Applicants must currently be resident in BAMENDA on a full-time basis or be willing to relocate to Bamenda. If relocating, we will only consider applicants who were previously local to Bamenda and are familiar with the town, its businesses, its people etc…

Applicants should be very familiar with using computers, email systems, word processing programs

Ideal candidate must be self-driven, goal-oriented and passionate about whatever they set their minds to. Must be a big dreamer who is willing to put in the effort to make things happen. Must not be deterred by obstacles and difficulties – as there will plenty of those in an emerging market place like Bamenda.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 Compensation will be in the form of a base salary plus bonuses. Base salary will be tied to specific objectives that must be met in order for salary to be paid (pay for work structure). We reserve the right to require employees or other staff to use time management systems to ensure good productivity.

 The company is a fun place to work and is backed by enthusiastic and forward-thinking people. The company's existing team is virtual – works remotely outside of Bamenda. The selected candidate for this position will be working alone (in the beginning) from Bamenda but will be connected to 6 other team members via email and Google Chat. As business grows, we will hire more staff and open a physical office.
