The conflict between the people of Njong and Bamock in Santa subdivision has taken a different twist when Mezam SDO Nguelle Nguelle Felix last Friday May 3, 2013 ordered the arrest and detention of Fon Asa'ahna and three others for 15 days renewable.

They were remanded into custody for failing to cooperate and produced those behind the destruction of property in Bamock village following the eruption of violence between the two villages earlier last week.

During a crisis meeting that held at the SDO office on Friday with representative of Njong village, the SDO asked them to identify those responsible for the destruction in Bamock and when they failed the Fon and three others were taken in only to be release if the perpetrators are identified.

Many have healed the decision of the SDO as precedent that could henceforth deterred some war mongering villages from using the excuse of popular action to attack weaker villages.
