ISTP Multiplicators of PCC/CBC Schools Urged to be Pace Setters

The Coordinator of the Pedagogic In-Service Programme ,ISTP Cameroon Njobati Frederick has called on Multiplicators of the PCC and CBC schools to stand out as they strive to implement the ideals of the ISTP in their various schools in order for them to be pace setters in modern pedagogy having the children at the center of learning.

This call came at the hills of the annual meeting of ISTP Multiplicators that took place recently, in the presence of the Educations Secretary’s Representative for the North West Region Kima Constantine and the Pedagogic Adviser for the CBC Nyanganji Job who sat in for the Education Secretary of the CBC. The meeting which had main focus to present a report sheet of their work in the field, always enables them to make a difference as the evaluation will make them more conscious and efficient in their different assigned task. Another major unique item during this year’s meeting was geared towards observing activities marking project 500 Protestant Worldwide, celebrating 500yrs of Reformation on the theme, ‘rediscovering roots in reformation worldwide,’ the ISTP Coordinator thanked the Multiplicators who multiply the ideals and goals of the ISTP in their various schools that will take them to higher heights .He urged these Multiplicators to work as team members so that the ideas they have will remain sustainable.

Earlier in a meditation on the theme, “ small beginnings with great results,” the Presbyterial Treasurer for Mezam, the Rev Ndonui Peter shu, while lauding the efforts of great reformers like martin Luther, Nelson Mandela and others who set the foundation that many are working on today, challenged the Multiplicators to leave their foot prints in the sands of time not minimizing their humble beginnings but to do everything for God through the knowledge they pass on to the children. He admonished them to rediscover their roots in this reformation period by putting hands on deck to ensure excellent results in their schools.

while opening the meeting the Representative of the Educations Secretary of the CBC, reminded the teachers that as Multiplicators they are supposed to multiply the impact of the ISTP in their various schools adding that, such an evaluation meeting which equips them for the next academic year, is a time for them to take a firm resolution to work harder and create a significant impact in their schools so that it will reflect in end of course results.

It should be noted that a thorough evaluation of each Multiplicator was done to assess their activities for the academic year 2013/2014 which ended on a positive note. Also the Multiplicators did not go home without some new ideas through a workshop on, learning community and result based planning, monitoring and evaluation.

One of the highlights during the meeting was the dressing of all the Multiplicators in their ISTP 500 school outfit who marched through the streets of Bamenda from the ISTP head office through Sonac Street, Small Mankon and up to the Church Centre Mankon, where they had to discover one of the pilot early childhood centres, PNS Ntamulung Church Centre which all described as one in town . Back at the head office the ISTP Multiplicators were introduced to Early Childhood Education and the Green Network which was crowned by an activity plan for the academic year2014/2015.
