MINAT Bans Unauthorised Purchase of Machetes

MINAT BOSS Paul Atanga Nji

The Cameroon’s Minister for interior Paul Atanga Nji noted for Defending and attacking those he considers as enemies of the state has once again proven Tough.

In Communique signed August 18th 2020, the minister has banned the unauthorised puchase of cutlasses and iron rods used for construction. Hence, before you buy a cutlass you must proof ownership of a farm or reason for doing so.

On the other hand before you could buy a rod for construction you must provide valid documents that proof you are constructing upon which the Divisional officer will then give you an authorization. secondly the business dealer will collect your phone numbers and other credentials relating to you

This decision is provoked by the recent brutal killing of a girl in Muyuka, SW region with a machete and the use of iron rods by separatist fighters to fabricate artesanal explosives use against the military in the NW and SW regions.

Famers and Contractors have been expressing mixed feelings already. These decisions come bare days after some news publications reported that the minister has been silent for too long.
