The Abakwa Boys pulled a spectacular victory at the Bafoussam Kouekong Stadium on match day 12 when they drown Feutchue FC of Diko Bandjoun in a 3-0 victory, irritating President Joseph Feutcheu, who ordered the team’s bus driver to head back to town without the players and technical staff.

The players following their on-field humiliation were miserably left to find alternative means of transport back to town, some 15 km away. Some pleaded with PWD fans and officials to give them a ride back to town while others hitchhiked into pickup vehicles of a construction company working on the stadium.

PWD Bamenda had won over the neutrals and some fans of Feuchue FC who were impressed with the play style. Three second half goals from Boyomo Loen (75 min) from the penalty spot, Nchindo John Bosco (85 min) and Dindjeke Mael (92min) were enough to seal all three points of the day and hand PWD an impressive away victory. The result propels PWD to 4th spot on 18 points, six away from current leaders Cotonsport and with a game in hand.

PWD next host Panthere FC in a delayed match of the 2nd day of play on Wednesday before challenging Avion FC on Sunday.
