National team coach, Volke Finke has published the list of 24 players to take part in a camp ahead of the January AFCON in Equatorial Guinea, with only Jacques Zoua added to the list of players he used during his superb runoff qualifiers to the tournament.

Continuity appeared to have been the watch word in the German’s selection, with the rumoured inclusion of old guards like Aurelien Chedjou, Alexander Song Bilong, the in-formed Carlos Kameni and Joel Matip totally ignored.

To many this may not have come as a surprise. Two days to the publication of the list, FECAFOOT Standardization Committee president, Prof Joseph Owona had hinted that none of the rebellious players in the Brazilian debacle will get a call up and that Cameroon will continue to build a solid and stable team around young players.

Others believe it might not have been the list Volke Finke wished for, since he had expressed worries about cover in the midfield and central defence and with Stephane Mbia to miss two matches due to suspension, the lions also needed experience to confront the likes of group opponents like Ivory Coast and Mali endowed with experience.

Here is the  list of the players summoned for AFCON 2015
