Echoes emanating from the celebration of Mr. Biya’s  33 years in power by his party militants last November 6, 2015 seems to suggest the party is still wishing that he stands for the 2018 presidential elections in Cameroon.

House Speaker, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, asked the Head of State Paul Biya to put forward his candidacy for the presidential election in 2018. That is contained in a motion of support read on national radio late yesterday afternoon. Mr. Cavaye, Cameroon’s third personality was presented as the main signatory to the call by militants of the CPDM from his native Mayo Sava division of the Far North region.

He is the second high ranking member of the party to have called for the president to stand after CPDM Central Committee  Communication Secretary, Prof. Jacques Fame Ndongo issued a similar call over CRTV’s Actualité Hebdo on Sunday.

He said the need for the President to stand again is borne out of the party’s rule that automatically qualifies its chairman as presidential candidate.

Despites a call by the Central Committee Secretary General, Jean Kuete for militants to put a low profile celebration and instead show solidarity towards the soldiers and civilians killed in the north by Boko Haram, several party leaders used the occasion last Friday to heap praises to Mr. Biya and recounted his achievements since coming to power on November 6, 1982.

Mr Biya will turn 85 years before the 2018 presidential election and another seven years in office will see him into his 92nd birthday and a combined 43 years in power. God Bless Cameroon

I wonder what type of Politics Cameroon is practicing?

    Is Cameroon a kingdom?

    They say they are democrates.

    Where is the Democracy?

We need new ideas, something fresh.

Not one man for 33 years celebrating it and wishing to go to further presidential elections.

    Game world
