Bamenda Online Launches Business Directory Platform

Bamenda Online, Northwest leading online news site has launched a business directory platform to connect it thousands of readers with various businesses in the region.

According to Charles Anye, CEO of Bamenda Online Group “The Bamenda Online Business Directory is a user based system that permits users of the site including the general public , government offices and agencies, businesses, offices and NGOs to feed in their contact details and other information for free”

This contact detail he said “will be displayed in the directory page of www.bamendaonline.net which is accessible from the home page above and below the main navigation menu”

 Charles Anye said the directory is a unique way to place online, businesses and service provider s in the region, making it easy for any one from anywhere looking for information about a particular service to easily access it and get directly in touch with the target. Businesses that provide e-mail contacts and website addresses will get direct messages from the platform.

“The Bamenda Online Business Directory will subsequently migrate to a self hosted site as the database grows bigger” He said.

“In future a small token will be needed to get your details online, since we are constantly developing and intends to bring in a lot on changes to the system to improve on businesses in the region” he added.

To get contact details online, users will be required to click on the ‘Business Directory’ on the home page where they will be directed to a new page, the Business Directory Page. Here they will be confronted with four options; submit a Listing, view a Listing, Directory, or search listing. Below this is a displayed list of other entries and their categories.

Users who intend to add a new entry should click on ‘Submit a Listing’ and will be lead to a new window where they will be required to pick a Business Genre category from a drop down list and then hit on continue.

They will be required to enter their details and hit continue again. The next window will ask for an image or logo, if available, if not click on continue and the listing is submitted.

Users with more information, or whose categories are not in the list are advised to insert this in the Description box and the Bamenda Online Business Directory team will sort it out before publishing.

For users looking for services providers and businesses, they can browse the directory by category or query the search engine using simple or advanced search option.
